Gender? what's that?

Say, old man why the furrowed brow today?

Well, Peggy Sue I have been studying (that’s redneck for I’ve been thinking) about this brouhaha about that Democrat Hilary Rosen saying nasty thing about Romney’s wife.  Seems she sounds as though she speaks for all women about things such as how you should choose work over home life.  Now, it’s well known that this Hilary person is involved in what the socialists call “Alternate Lifestyle.”  Back where I come from we had a different term for it but that’s now considered insensitive.  I have tried to understand what is going on in this life style.  In a female/female relationship one has to be the female and one has to assume the male part.  It looks like in an alternate life style we are hindered by only having two gender references to define the participants.  Normally the references male and female gender can apply in all instances.  In this lifestyle you get to choose your gender. Your birth certificate shows your gender.  In the alternate lifestyle things gets confusing.  In a female/female relationship the one who performs the male part has female on her/his birth certificate.  It looks like two gender classifications just aren’t enough.  Now, I have no education or training in sociology so I am somewhat at a loss to define a third gender.  Until some sociologist writes a book on this and they develop a class at Harvard or Yale or UNC we will have to try to do the best we can on our own.  May I suggest, in the interim, we call this third gender WHATZIT.  That way when one of these types has to fill out a form that asks for Sex it will make the job much easier.
Note to the NOBEL Committee:  Please disregard any nominations you get for me concerning this subject.  Do to the criteria you use for your selections Reverends Jackson and Sharpton and Congressperson Maxine Waters are far more qualified.
