Chief Justice Neville Chamberlain

Nothing like being late to the party.  However, I’ve spent untold amount of time trying to rationalize this brouhaha about Obamacare and the robed denizens of the Supreme Court.  There appears to be three sides to the arguments.  Side one says; “Great, the Chief Justice has saved us from further use of the Commerce Clause by Congress to trash our freedoms.”  Side two says; “This will allow Congress to wrap everything is a tax label while they trash our freedoms.”  Side three, as stated by Jeffery Lord of the American Spectator, Says;  "This is a Neville Chamberlain type appeasement to the statists.” This whole thing brings me to a story of years back:

A lady takes her teen age daughter, who is having female problems, to the  local Gynecologist. The doctor makes numerous tests and when he returns to the exam room he tells the mother “I’m sorry to tell you, but your daughter has venereal disease."  The woman shrieks “Oh my God, how could this happen? Doctor could she have gotten it off a toilet seat?”  The Doctor replied “Yes, I suppose so, but it would have been very uncomfortable.”

The doctor is right, we have been screwed.

Here’s Jeffery Lord’s take on side three:
