Well, well, well I see by the local media that the Governor’s
Task Force (Read that police) starting May 21st will start their
annual “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
That is better known as “Revenue Enhancement” to the occupiers of the
state legislatures. Gotta have more
money with which to buy votes. When it
comes to the war on freedom it’s “Little by little step by step.” Law enforcement is now nothing but uniformed
tax collectors. By Georgia law, as it
affects fire arms, your vehicle is an extension of your home. By reverse reasoning it would seem that the Health Dept
could come into your home and look around.
“Say, this milk in your refrigerator expired yesterday, here’s a
citation.” I drive a pickup truck. By all results they are the safest thing on
the road in a crash unless you try to waltz with an M1 Tank. For 30 years trucks were omitted from the
requirement for seat belts. Then a fool
in the state legislature was going to retire.
His parting shot was to do away with this omission. “Take dat jawju, guess I showed you.” Seat belt laws, helmet laws and such take
away another freedom of choice. If I don’t
use a seat belt and I buy the “big one” that’s my decision. It’s no bodies damn business but my own. This is not the beginning of freedom loss,
that’s been going on for decades. Just
another step in the quest to control the citizen’s every move. “Why, it’s for your own gooood.” Socialism anyone? Screw that.
